Blue skies, green grass, wild flowers… spring can offer a color sensory overload! Harness that overload and use the colors you are enjoying within your own home improvement projects. Pastels are popular in the spring as we ease out of the dreary, dull colors of winter. Bring the beauty of the outside indoors by using some of these nature paint colors:
Lilacs: Typically found in light purples, lilac shades are a favorite of interior decorators. “Lilac Muse,” “French Lilac,” and “Spring Lilac” are all paint names that have been inspired by the purple of lilac flowers.
Moss: The great thing about the color of moss is that it isn’t as bright as most grasses and can come in many shades of greens and grays. A favorite of Tomball painters, moss-colored paints are great for offices or bedrooms. The light green and gray tones create a relaxing environment.
Magnolia Trees: Magnolias are light pink, purple and white. The combination creates a pleasing palette for any room in your home. Bedrooms are best in light purples or pinks because they create a feeling of romance, much like sitting beneath magnolia trees on a beautiful spring day.
Daisies: Daisies come in many different colors, but the yellow center draws the most attention. “Daisy Yellow,” “Oatlands Daisy,” or simply “Daisy” are all yellows found in paint stores. They are of different shades but are great for accent walls or small accessorizing in hallways or kitchens
Spend a little extra time outside on your lunch break today and enjoy all that spring has to offer while picking out a palette for your next big DIY project.
